In November 2024, Kosmos Energy’s Vice President and Country Manager of Senegal, Khady Dior Ndiaye, joined a panel at African Energy Week in Cape Town, South Africa. She addressed the topic of a just energy transition, emphasising the role of Africa’s natural gas in addressing energy poverty and driving economic development. Khady highlighted the potential of Senegal’s gas resources to reduce electricity costs, support industrial growth, and improve living standards while at the same time making progress on renewable targets. She also underscored the importance of local capacity building, noting Kosmos Energy’s investment in training programs.
